SARUS CRANE - GRUS ANTIGONE
A pair of beautiful Sarus Crane at Keoladeo Ghana National Park, A Unesco World Heritage site near Agra. Size 165 CM and mostly found in North and Central India. Grey Cranes with a red head and red upper necks, small pale grey ear patch on head sides; sparse black feathers on the chin and upper neck; pale brown to orange eyes. Long pointed grey bill with pinkish-red legs. Sexes alike but females are slightly smaller. In Pairs, family pairs or flocks; also feeds along with other waterbirds and known to pair for life.
